Dairy Goat Webinar Series Continues This Fall

Webinars announced for the rest of 2025 to assist with dairy goat management

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach dairy team will continue its dairy goat webinar series this fall. All webinars will be from 12 to 1:15 p.m. Central time, and topics will include timely updates on a variety of dairy goat issues, including milk quality, reproduction and animal care.

“Dairy goat production is a widely important industry in Iowa,” said Jenn Bentley, dairy field specialist with ISU Extension and Outreach. “We are pleased to continue this educational opportunity with a lineup of quality speakers and presenters to provide producers and industry providers with practical take-home information.”

2025 Webinar Sessions

  • Sept. 17 – Understanding Udder Health and Managing Mastitis: Elizabeth Eckelkamp, dairy extension specialist, assistant professor, University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture
  • Oct. 14 – Animal Welfare for Dairy Goat Producers: Michelle Buckley, DVM and assistant professor of practice, School of Veterinary Medicine at Texas Tech University
  • Nov. 18 – Managing Reproduction to Maximize Production: Rosie Busch, DVM and assistant specialist for sheep and goat herd health, School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California Davis and UC Agriculture and Natural Resources Cooperative Extension
  • Dec. 17 – Dairy Goat Milk Quality with a special focus on the Southeastern United States: Rileigh Powers, graduate research assistant, Department of Animal Science, University of Tennessee

There is no fee to attend the webinar sessions; however, registration is required. Registration is only required once to attend any or all webinars.
