2026 Dairy Youth Communications Workshop Set in Waterloo
Registration Open for Dairy Youth Communications Workshop June 4 in Waterloo
WATERLOO, IOWA — High school and college students passionate about dairy with interest in strengthening their communication skills are receiving invitations to attend the June Event, a dairy communication workshop, on Thursday, June 4, in Waterloo, Iowa.
Hosted by the Iowa Dairy Princess Program, this day-long workshop is tailored for county and breed dairy princesses, dairy ambassadors, and high school and college youth eager to enhance their dairy promotion skills.
Participants will gain valuable insights from industry professionals and engage in hands-on activities designed to build confidence and sharpen communication skills. The workshop will run from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Waterloo Center for the Arts, 225 Commercial St. Attendance is free and includes lunch and refreshments.
Featured speakers include Nicole Johnson, RD, LD, of Hy-Vee, who will discuss the role of dairy in a healthy diet, and Elizabeth Klinge, co-anchor at KWWL, who will lead an interactive session on media interviews. In addition to educational sessions, attendees will take part in a volunteer activity at the Phelps Youth Pavilion, emphasizing the value of community engagement.
