New Prague, Minn. (July 24, 2024) – Join Dairy Calf & Heifer Association (DCHA) for its next webinar – “SenseHub Dairy Youngstock: A Bright Future Can Start in a Blink” – set for Aug. 7, at 2 p.m. Central time (U.S./Canada). Brandt Kreuscher, Merck Animal Health dairy business development manager, North America, and Erica Tessmann, Merck Animal Health marketing manager for dairy monitoring technology, will lead this free, one-hour educational offering.

To register for the webinar, go to: https://bit.ly/MAHSenseHub080724 and follow the prompts. Your webinar registration confirmation e-mail will include a web link to join the webinar.

During this webinar, Kreuscher and Tessmann will explain why calves are the most vulnerable group on a dairy and how calf care strategies can protect these young animals and help them thrive in the future. One tool – the M-Power dairy platform from Merck Animal Health – includes calf care solutions to make calf management more efficient and less stressful. A first-of-its-kind solution, SenseHub Dairy Youngstock monitoring empowers producers to grow strong replacements by managing nipple-fed calves in single hutches for optimal health. By attaching an LED ear tag at birth, employees can detect quicker and act faster to prioritize care of the most vulnerable group on the farm.

Kreuscher oversees dairy development initiatives, drawing on his extensive experience of integrating dairy software and technology on farms. He spent nearly 20 years managing dairy electronic identification and mobile projects for an ag software company. Kreuscher also coordinated dairy research and managed teaching herds at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and University of California, Davis.

Tessmann executes all marketing strategies for the Merck Animal Health portfolio of monitoring, milking and sorting technologies. This includes generating demand for dairy monitoring solutions and partnering with sales on results-driven initiatives. She holds a bachelor’s degree in life sciences communication from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
