JLG Offers Comprehensive Line of Purpose-Built Telehandlers for Agricultural Applications

McConnellsburg, PA (March 25, 2025) — JLG Industries, an Oshkosh Corporation business (NYSE: OSK) and a leading global manufacturer of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) and telehandlers, now offers a dedicated line of telehandlers engineered specifically to meet the unique needs of farmers, ranchers and commercial agricultural operations across North America. The new JLG ® Agriculture telehandler portfolio features five purpose-built models for agricultural applications, offering greater maneuverability, versatility and performance compared to traditional industrial telehandler models.
“After 50 years as the market leader in access equipment for construction tasks, we’re leveraging our product expertise to deliver innovative solutions for the agriculture industry,” says Jamey Patla, VP and General Manager – JLG Agriculture. “Our agriculture telehandlers are aggressive, powerful and ergonomically designed, making them ideally suited for the demands of agricultural operations.”
Purpose-Built Agriculture Telehandler Models
The JLG Agriculture telehandler lineup includes:
- AG313: Compact unit with 3,500-lb capacity and 13-ft maximum height
- AG519: Mid-size unit offering 5,000-lb capacity with 19-ft maximum height
- AG823: Heavy-duty model providing 8,000-lb capacity with 23-ft maximum height
- AG832: Extended-reach model delivering 8,000-lb capacity with 32-ft maximum height
- AG925: High-capacity model featuring 9,000-lb capacity with 25-ft maximum height
The naming convention indicates each model’s capabilities: The first digit represents weight capacity (in thousands of pounds) while the second two digits represent maximum height (in feet).
Performance Features Optimized for Farm Operation
JLG’s agricultural telehandlers include performance features specifically designed for farm environments:
- Travel speeds up to 25 mph with tight turning radius for improved maneuverability
- Three steering modes (2-wheel, 4-wheel, and 4-wheel crab) for versatile operation
- High ground clearance (19 inches) for traversing uneven terrain
- Reduced ground disturbance technology to protect field integrity
- Short rear-axle-to-hitch distance for enhanced stability when towing trailers or wagons
- Ride control with boom float for additional load cushioning and stability on rough terrain
- Precision lifting with excellent attachment rotation for faster bucket speeds and better tilt angles
These versatile machines excel across various agricultural applications, including handling and stacking heavy materials, moving feed and seed, pen bedding and cleanup, defacing silage and haylage, towing, and maintenance tasks.
“Our agriculture telehandlers provide greater lift height and forward reach, allowing farmers and ranchers to perform multiple tasks with a single machine,” explains Patla. “This versatility saves time, money and labor across various operations.”
Agriculture-Specific Attachments
Larger JLG Agriculture telehandler models (8,000- and 9,000-lb capacities) feature a standard hydraulic quick AG coupler with single auxiliary hydraulics and optional dual auxiliary hydraulics with continuous flow (25 gal/min). JLG offers optional competitive couplers on these larger models to best fit owners’ needs. Compact JLG telehandler models (3,500- and 5,000-lb capacities) are equipped with skid steer couplers for pairing with skid steer and telehandler attachments.
Attachments are essential when using telehandlers in agricultural applications, enabling farmers and ranchers to use one machine to perform multiple tasks. JLG offers a variety of attachments for numerous applications, including ones for ag-specific tasks such as:
- Silage defacers
- Bale carriages
- Buckets
- Pallet forks
- Specialized lifting tools
“To minimize our equipment owners’ overall investment,” says Patla, “JLG telehandlers can also be used with many of the attachments currently used on farms and ranches today.”

JLG is establishing a contracted dealer network to sell, service and support the JLG Agriculture product line across North America.

We are also actively building and growing our network of dedicated dealers to assist our customers throughout their ownership journey.
“While products alone won’t set us apart, being a trusted partner who delivers on every detail will. At JLG, we stand behind our agriculture products and those who rely on them,” finishes Patla.
