New study finds: smaXtec bolus detects bird flu

MADISON, WI [May 12, 2025] A newly released study published in the Journal of Dairy Science sheds light on the significant toll the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1, commonly known as bird flu, has taken on a 500-cow Michigan dairy.
